How is Prenatal Screening Done?

Prenatal screening tests may include:

  • Blood test(s) and/or
  • Ultrasound(s)

These screening tests pose no risk to your pregnancy and baby. Screening tests are not 100% accurate; they will give a chance for the conditions screened but not a yes or no answer. The results will be given to a health-care provider who will review the results with you and together, you can make a personalized pregnancy care plan.
